AN ANGRY MISS FRIFRI WITH BOXING GLOVES
Today I spent 1,5 hr getting to university (again). Because there was 1 cm snow and English people STILL don't know how to deal with it. When I got there my class was cancelled. I nearly cried. So I went to photocopy lots of articles instead. The books that I needed were on loan. I nearly cried again. AND- since I was gonna go to the gym today I was already wearing my gym clothes (it's too heavy to carry everything otherwise), which lowered my fabulous- factor factor severely. Basically, I felt like this:
I realized that a boxing class was on at 12. There was only me and one other guy there. The guy was one of these annoying ones that thinks he's "it." So he smiled at me and said "it's ok, don't be worried. I'll be gentle." If I hadn't been in such a bad mood I'd have laughed. But then it was my turn to punch him and he didn't laugh at all. He looked a little bit shocked actually. An angry MissFriFri with boxing gloves is no joke. The trainer actually said that I was like the face of girl- power. I think that's pretty cool, no? The American guy didn't agree. He said that he had an injury so he couldn't punch so hard today.
I had coffee with Dagny and Sissel, which helped me to regain my will to live. (Today's just one of those days, you know? When your desk is absolutely covered in work and your life's a mess in general.) I tried to do a little pick- me- up by watching Swedish Hollywood wifes earlier (Swedish women who've married rich men in LA and are housewifes. Sort of the opposite of being the face of girl- power but extremely entertaining! And light.)
I'm gonna work super hard now. And then do my nails. I'm thinking red.
